A 50-minute, thoroughly researched, structured educational musical presentation that features performing musicians who provide an interactive historical overview of America's music and its cultural relationships. This fast-moving program incorporates elements of Tin Pan Alley, Blues, Jazz, Rock-n-roll, Country, Rhythm & Blues, the British invasion, and ends with the Alternative/Rap influence. The program demonstrates how the musical elements from different cultures blend together to produce the music that we listen to and enjoy today using the concepts of melody, harmony and rhythm.
Participating individuals automatically increase knowledge, and possibly develop a greater acceptance of other styles of music.
