It's best NOT to disregard the pre-release attention surrounding Carissia & Company new album, Too Wild for the Blues.

The album was recorded and produced by Tom Malone and Carissia Dixon-Malone.  The co-writers consisted of Kristin Weathers, Elliot Weathers, and Regi Wooten.  Too Wild for the Blues is a feel good album for Carissia, so much so as it represents an evolution of her heart-felt blues fused with rhythm and blues to create an intense sound altogether. Carissia has gone on record as saying she wanted her music to represent her spirit, and Too Wild for the Blues accomplishes this goal and is an album that delivers song in a variety of different styles. Fans of her “live” work won't be disappointed: Carissia pushes toward her own identity and personality through these songs.

On Too Wild for the Blues, Carissia maintains her jazzy, sultry sound while pushing into adult contemporary pop territory. “Too Wild for the Blues," "Lovin" and "Set Me Free" (the album's most blues rock-oriented song) are excellent examples of her signature approaches. But she doesn't abandon the Soul ballads, "Where were You” and "Only You.”  “Real Love” may the loveliest Jazz song while "Riding That Bass" sets the stage for Carissia’s love of Funk to a bluesy shuffle, “No Doubting That.”  “Live Music in America” keeps the pace patriotic and fun.

A fun, original-sounding record, Too Wild for the Blues, showcases Carissia’s musical depth in exciting and unexpected genres.
