Poem:

The Future

by Carissia Dixon-Malone

Loving what you learn
Learning what you love
Loving what you do
Doing what you love

With this poem, three goals are achieve here:  Acknowledging my Mom most definitely, empathize from others feelings, and stir abstractly the inherent feelings and responsibility felt by most Moms ...!

Mothers really are a wonderful creation of God!

Happy Mother's Day

Christine Dixon

of

Celina, Free Hill, Tennessee

Mothers Who Are Mom

Mothers project love and gleam bright like you

Mothers are strict when the care is about you

Mothers never leave as time becomes life's lustful tool

My Mother was always there when I came home from school

Mothers teach us love and how simply to reach

They give us depth and the ability to inner search

Mothers are intuitive and know things before they happen

That's why it's always wise to listen before there is a mishap

Oh how, I thank my God for Mothers who look like my Mom

Mothers who think like her and Mothers who laugh out loud like her

Oh how, grateful I am to God for my Mother who adamantly put me first

And never let me forget that it was me on her genuine love list

I thank all you Mothers for being like my Mom

Many kids succeeded wholly because human love is designed like my Mom

As aging Moms gain wisdom while loving their old grey younglings with no end in sight

We all know that it is Mothers and their love as One who will stand as the key to our light

So in earnest enthusiasm we all should shout,

"I will always love, my Mother, 'cause my MOM is imaged just Right!"

Happy Mother's Day, Mom!

Thinking environmentally and about its potency: (same above):

TREE

Written and published 4/11/2009

The anima of a TREE is very very strong.
We gotta be
TREE strong to survive this life!
We must be a
TREE
with very deep roots
Firmly planted -- not easily moved
And, not easily bent over when the wind begins to blow

But a TREE that grows up with branches stretching out
Blooming strong limbs and air we can breathe
We gotta be that
TREE
that covers for some
And becomes the lover for others who call it their home

We must stand TREE tall to survive this life
Like a
TREE
filled with divine, majestic powers, we

Train,
Reflect,
Empathize,  and
Enjoy

Yes, we gotta one day evolve
TREE ready to live this life!

Faith

by Carissia Dixon-Malone - A Celebration of Poets Showcase

I love life and all encountered

Wonders always rushing forth

Pressures shine like mountain top snow

And doubts of self hang hollow low

i wonder will I measure up

Or just devour the feels of fear

Or let my spirit rise above

To veil the Faith within

Life Happens as no moment's notice

A fork evolves unstable ground

But with the sheer of deepest faith

I'm sure to seize the love abound

Nothing is Impossible

Carissia - 12/09/1997

A sea floor can be reached

And stars walked upon

The heavens obtained by divine grace

Everlasting love captured from within

Listen when I whisper

Belief is action turned inside out

Strength equals profit where focus resides

Nothing is impossible

If one chooses to try

The Passion Rule

By Carissia Dixon-Malone - 3/18/99

To weather the storm when the norm is away

You gotta ride passion till the wave cools down

Don’t you quit and don’t you stop

Just remember always this too shall pass

When billows of doubt are filled at the rim

Don’t fear it at all, let the zest of life blaze on through

As the shadows of the demon move closer in

Dance with your passion for a greater peace

Cause passion is the rule for a better way

It’s the key to balance in your daily wear

Just keep up the climb for what you want

The rope of passion is the holding thread

A Proud Man...A Black Man!

Robert Dixon --  A Tribute

by Thomas Henry Malone/Carissia Dixon-Malone

IF you did not know the Man and
Saw Him coming down the street,
You knew immediately that
He was a man of Substance..
A Proud Man...A Black Man!

IF you had not met Him
On the inside of the boxing ring, and
Absorbed one His lightning left hooks
You could tell He was about Something
A Proud Man...A Black Man!

EVEN if you had not been anointed
To catch His legendary performances
Or, heard his voice rattling the rafters,
You still could feel that He was a man of Importance

A Proud Man....A Black Man!

BUT, If you knew Him as "Dad" like, I did,
You were one of the lucky ones,

And, upon
His departure, I was blessed to said,

"I Love You, Dad! You truly are...

A Proud Man...
A Black Man...A Man of Heavenly Substance!"

"Dear"

Carissia Dixon-Malone – 9/9/2000

Again will you hold me and love me, Dear

And make me feel so safe, Dear

Could our love be fading, Dear

Just like it never fazed you, Dear

What really, really happened, Dear

Will you ever need to feel me, Dear

Or, was it all just a game, Dear

A fleeting rush of lust, Dear

A moment that never lasted, Dear

How so simply sad, Dear

To have you here but never near, Dear

Why must we bear an end, Dear

When love was once so strong, Dear

This Love’s Real

By Carissia Dixon-Malone – 11/1/99

Life hasn’t been easy to say the least

The roads I’ve travel left aside so many

But I know this love’s real and the seeds will grow

Cause baby you’re here and there’s no doubting that

We’ve seen it before and we’ll see it again

The circle of life will always unfold

To the heart inside and the mind outside

Let it ring magic for me and you

I’ve searched so long to have my own

I’ll never regret any turns I made for you

Cause you are the force of my new math

A continuous love that’s forever more on my path!

The Way You Are

Carissia Dixon-Malone – May 30, 1999

The way you move me when you walk

Makes always for interesting talk

Your depth, your inner wisdom

Opens me to light I’ve never seen

How did I ever exist before

Where visions were so narrow and dark

Your entry in my world is like a butterfly spreading wings

 You’re so aesthetically pleasing

Where the day’s stress is so releasing

How can one ever know a joy this certain

In a wheel of unceasing pain

What a joy our journeys crossed

Forever will our hearts beat as one

Under the veil of the One above, surpassing the span of earthly love

I love the way you are!

Life

Loving what you learn

Living what you do

Expressing it through the music

Where the outflow of peace and beauty

Fulfills the life long journey

What’s it all About?

By Carissia Dixon-Malone - 3/17/99

What’s it all about

We are born to believe in fantasy things

Hoping for a better life

Is it the brass…the car, the house, the job?

How do you satisfy in the short span we have?

What’s it all about?

Books, lecturers expounding everywhere

Everyone is spouting their living creeds

But if you look behind their doors

Their actions are nil and their word is null

What’s it all about?

Should love be the answer to all our woes?

Then why is a child taught not from cradle to abide?

If wisdom is the path to peace, they say

Then why is the educated so filled with hate?

What’s it all about?

Why I Drink Milk

June 7, 2001/Revised 2009

I drink Milk for sentimental reasons

Because I sipped when I was younger

I now enjoy this smile much Longer

I drink Milk for aging reasons

It helps my bones grow much much stronger

Which makes my life not just a quick encounter

I love Milk for many reasons

I hope you really do believe me

Cause as you see, we've lasted for several seasons

Ancestral Pity

9/9/2001

Momma never left and focused on the mass

Dad could have stayed, but let money rule his ass

Their children sometimes rude, showing empathy with no class

As the boy of last descent, slyly smiled and took the gas

There was always talk of family love

Which sometimes matched the thoughts from the One above

But as recalled and as the norm, someone always left in shame

While others sadly and smugly would kindly laid some blame

I could not climb to snatch that peak

Ancestral pity had made the future bleak

Its all their fault, I rationalized

It was their inner vault that had not been realized

I know I must remove the chains

That constantly leave me mentally slain

And dump the bag of pity and doubt

So I can carry the trail of clout

But when you see how full this bag

Filled with guilt from everyone

You'll understand the burden we wag

When Ancestral Pity leaves life undone
